This may sound drastic ............ but you NEED to do it. IF you know that the child has not been taken to a doc in a while you need to call CPS. (child protective services) You can use google and find out who in your state can take a report. I feel bad for the Mom but if she can't manage her childs condition then she is inadvertantly harming that child. If he has SWcah then it will only be a matter of time before he is in the hospital with a crisis. At some point in time she will run out of meds and if he hasn't been seen the doc will not refill  the script. THey will demand to see the child. CAh is a very serious condition but if the child is given the proper meds and following up with an endo on a regular basis it is rather easy. My DD goes to the endo every 3 months. She gets blood draws each time. When she gets older it will be a bit less.
