Can a CAH patient get diabetes? Apr. 15th, 2008 10:50pm
Diabetes 1 and 2 run in both of our families. (man do we have bad genetics or WHAT?) Anyway, just this week my daughter that is ten and has SWCAH seems to be extremely thirsty these past two days. Could be a CAH thing, or not. Not sure what is going on but I have always the worry of diabetes 1 creeping up in my daughter, in the back of my mind for years now. Do you know if it is possible? Is there anyone out there that has CAH that is diabetic? I know I have read about insulin problems ? or something like that if I recall. I will have to look in the archives. Carol if you are out there reading this, do you have any idea? Anyone? Thanks!
