re: Breast feeding and CAH

Liz-I can only respond to the breastfeeding and not the CAH part.  I breastfed both my daughters-one with CAH, one without, and I do not have CAH.  Breast milk supply definitiely is related to the amount of times you feed your child, how strong they are sucking, and other factors such as diet.  The more your child nurses, the more milk you make.  When my daughters started losing interest so that feeding times were reduced, I had less milk, and then they nursed less...We made it to 7 months with the first, 8 months with the second.  As to hormones I couldn't comment, or if your SWCAH affects milk production, that I don't know either.  Just know that breastfeeding for even a few weeks or months is beneficial for your baby!
