My doc had me stop taking my Florinef, a couple of years, ago, and to date nothing has been out of whack on my results.
However, I also stopped taking my dex myself, prior to being taken off of the Florinef, not advised, while I was lucky, and never got ill, I would not suggest it.
I really feel by doing this I developed the TART, and I would advise you, and your sons, to not discontinue hydrocortisone treatment. I hope that with the proper meds, and a screening of my labs, that I can reverse the TART, which research has shown.
Unfortunately, the literature I've read does not seem to show that sterility can be reversed. I hope this is not the case.
