Seems like forever ago, but my now eleven year old SWCAH daughter had the chicken pox when she was three years old. I never had to stress dose, as she never had a fever. She was mildly uncomfortable with itching, but nothing serious at all.
An interesting side note about the recommendations of the different doctors: My daughter's ped. and endo. both agreed she should NOT get the vaccine because they were not sure how long it would last, and thought chicken pox could be much worse for her as an adult. I realize this was ten years ago, but I know Laura's daughter is close in age.
Isn't it interesting that doctors treating the same condition can reach such different conclusions?
