I choose not to do a CVS or amnio with my second pregnancy and my son ended up in ICU very close to death because I didn't get the results back soon enough from his newborn screening test. Read my post that I posted above for more information. I am really hoping that there is another type of test in which the results come back much sooner than the newborn screening test because I am pregnant with my 3rd (very early) and don't want a repeat of my 2nd pregnancy/birth.
