My daughter is about 13mths old and since she was dx at birth she has been drinking 0.9% saline 40ml three times a day. She actually does not mind it now. My pediatrician is recommending that I really try hard to give her salt in her food. What scares me though is that I do not feel in control of it since I really can not measure it that way. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to encorporate salt in my daughter's diet so that it will be equal to what she gets with the saline solution. I will see her endo next month but she probably won't have a good answer for me because it seems to be so individualized. I have been adjusting between 20-40ml when I give her something saltier. I am afraid to give her too much and cause her BP to go up. Any suggestions would be great thanks. Jennifer from Chicago area.
