re: Replacing salt
May. 9th, 2008   11:38pm
We have never given our 9 year old SWCAH daughter saline or sodium as a baby and now we don't "salt" her food.  She is free to salt her own food if she wishes but has never felt the need to.  If anything, she has complained that some food is "too salty"!  The problem is that there are varying degrees of "salt wasting" and each child is individual.  She takes .05mg of florinef once a day.   You would be very surprised at the amount of sodium or salt in everyday foods that we eat, it is surprisingly high and usually way more than most people need.
