I will call my endo. and see what he says again. That was ten years ago and perhaps the design has changed. If this is the case oh yeah baby, I will be going tomorrow to get one. That would take the guess work out of how far to bury that needle and such. My thought is that if an epi pen would work that all the endocrinologists would train new parents with that epi pen. Has anyone out there been trained on an epi pen for Solu Cortef? If you have please post here. Ten years ago, I bought the darn thing out of pocket because my insurance wouldn't cover it to be told I couldn't use it! Best yet, I will call the pharmacy today and see what they say too. What they told me is that the needle didn't go far enough. Maybe the set up I had for it wasn't right? If this is the case we need to make sure all those directions for giving Solu Cortef changes to  ease the minds of all the parents that has to give the "dreaded first shot". It is so intimidating and I think this epi pen would make it less intimidating. If anyone else out there uses this device let me know asap! Thanks Megan. Do you use it? Have you used in past? Did your endo. write a prescription for it? Did your insurance pay for it? Thanks in advance.
