Circadian Rythm Dosing - need info on timing Jun. 4th, 2008 1:19am
We have recently been trying circadian rythm dosing for our 5 year-old daughter. She takes 1/4 Cortef at 3AM, 8AM (not at 7AM, because she gets up at 8), at 12:30 (in the kindergarden) and at 17:30. This timing is suggested by an endocrinologist called Moeller, but as far as I remember he suggested Athat the 3AM and the 7AM doses should each be 1/3 of the daily dose. I have read that some parents are following the approach of administering the medication 4 times a day at 3AM, 9AM, 3PM and 9PM. Our endo has not experience in circadian rythm dosing; so I would appreciate if you could be of assistance - which timing is the better. Thanks, Tamara
