re: re: Advice needed: about taking medication in the early morning Jun. 7th, 2008 9:56pm
I used to give my daughter her AM dose at 6am on the dot. I would set my alarm for 5:55 to be sure it was ready by 6. Although, that was also when I had a job that I needed to start by 7am, so it worked out ok. That was also when she stayed asleep after I'd given her that early dose. Now, my job starts whenever I get there--8:30-9--so I usually wake up around 7:30 and she gets her medicine by 8:15. The doctor told us to try and make sure she at least gets her AM dose no later than 9am, since she gets her PM dose somewhere between 10 and 11. She gets her afternoon dose at 2pm. She gets that one at school, so I know she gets it by 2:30 every day.
I'm not sure how strict the time schedule needs to be. I know I used to be extremely stringent with the time schedule, and now I'm not SO strict.
