To all the new mothers with little ones diagnosed with CAH. We were in your shoes 15 years ago and want to tell each of you that children with CAH can lead a normal, happy, productive life . Our 15 year old grandson played in his high school baseball games here in Richmond, Virginia all weekend and did beautifully (a much sought after athlete). He's anxiously awaiting the beginning of his high school football practice . He was named MVP last year and we expect he'll repeat his success this year. He has been followed by Dr. Maria New in New York since he was 10 months of age. He also has a local endo, of course. He has done remarkable throughtout his entire life. He is 5'10" and weighs about 140. It was scary when he was born (he was the first child ever born at the hospital here in Richmond with CAH), but over the past 15 years he has done great. Good look to all of you.
