I have been taking an antidepressant for anxiety for 6 yrs, and about 1 yr ago I switched pharmacies and they gave me a generic brand because it was more affordable. A fter taking it I found that my anxiety was not well controlled. Luckily I work in a dr. 's office and spoke with a rep for the drug co. which makes the original brand. She explained to me that although the drugs have the same ingredients, the original must have the exact percentage of ingredients where as the generic brands only have to be in a certain range not exact. So for some people they wont notice but others may require the proper proportions of ingredients to have better results. Sorry for the novel:)
