Sorry you had to give an injection. The first time is the scariest, but I got nervous the 2nd time too.
I've not had any trouble with the vials, but I do make sure to place them flat on a hard surface, and press down firmly with the palm of my hand to break the seal. Then, shake for a full minute, and instead of poking your needle down into the vial, hold the vial upside down, and poke the needle UP through the seal and into the liquid. Gravity makes it a little easier to fill the syringe.
I hope you won't need these tips for a very long time, though!
