It is scarey anytime the injection is needed!  Hope gave you some good tips.  I would add to stay calm and talk yourself through the process of what to do, set it up in front of you on a table or counter top.  Have everything out that you need.  Tak a deep breath and follow the instructions on the act-o-vial.  I actually retyped mine so I could read it because the print is so small!  Even though it is an emergency, you can take the time you need to give the injection properly and without panic.  Good luck and I hope your child is ok.
