Sarah:

I know exactly how you feel.  I have a 4 month old daughter with SWCAH.  We found out the first week we came home.  So far she has been doing great.  I myself am a diabetic, so giving her a shot if neeeded doesn't scare me.  Sometimes I cry because she is so good about taking all her medicine.  I mostly feel like it's my fault.  I like you have never heard of this condition before so I was very surprised when we found out.  I thought they would just fix her in the hospital and that would be it.

Just stay strong and don't treat her any differently.  I'm not too worried about her being picked on in school because I myself still don't know exactly what it is.  So she has to take a pill, now a days everybody takes a pill for something.  I was never picked on or treated differently because I had diabetes and believe me when my sugar is low, I become another person.

If you ever need to talk my email is leighrivard@yahoo.com.  Like you everyday is learning experience for me and it's nice to have someone who understands.

Take care,

Leigh

Leigh
