if someone wants to get thier kids ear pierced it is entirely upto them...my girls had there ears pierced when the were 7 months old, yes it is the personal preference of parents....... why be so melodramatic, and yes it does hurt but not for long and anyway at 14 your bound to feel it more.....made no difference to my kids they love having studs in thier ears
