It seems like it would be a borderline decision for an adult getting their ears peirced, for a 1 year-old, I would think it would be a bit more traumatic. I can't see how it would hurt, and the odds are it may be needed.

Unless you meant the stress dose for yourself, then, yes, by all means!! ;)

Locally, there's a story about a teen mother who brought her baby in to Wal-Mart to have their ears pierced. Wal-Mart's policy was that anyone under 16 needed a parent accompanying them. They would pierce the baby's ears because the teen mother was there, but they wouldn't pierce the teen mother's ears because she was under 16, and wasn't accomanied by a parent.
