re: re: re: Dealing with our pediatric endocrinologist's fragile ego – advice please ..questions

Which is another of my questions. My daughter has bone aging as was revealed by the x-ray and higher 17-OHP levels but in terms of genitalia, she only begain to change over the past 6 months.

As she currently is, bathing suits at the water park and Doya Sploya (her interp of Dora the Explorer) panties suggest she is rather typical. The ped endo reports that she has always been masculinized and my mother, girlfriends who changes her as a baby, and I just don't know what a clitoris looks like. Apparently neither did the pediatrician who was present at the c-section delivery or my ob-gyn for that matter. The last is actually pretty funny when you think about it.

Given the, what appears to be, gradual onset and salt level of 134 (ped endo told us 136 to 145 was the 'normal' range) is SW-CAH the correct assessment?

Or maybe I just answered my own question and really do need a second opinion.

By the way, I'm in Vancouver, British Columbia, but would travel anywhere in the world to find the perfect ped endo.
