re: re: My 19 month old son LOSING WEIGHT and NOT growing!! Jun. 25th, 2008 12:04pm
My little girl was the same, very small and slow to gain weight or grow taller. We got a lot of mileage out of clothes and shoes. She wore the same size for 3 years!! At 4 yrs old she was switched from pediapred to cortef and has grown taller and put on weight. She has now almost caught up to her peers and is no longer the smallest in her class. Don't know if it was the change in medication or just her time to finally grow. I have read that pedipred is a lot stronger than cortef but easier to give to little ones as it comes in liquid form. It's hard not to worry but like KP said have patience. He will grow. Hope this helps.
