Yes it is easy. After picking up your luggage, just go outside and wait. There are shuttles passing by. The NIH shuttle will take you to just outside of the grounds. You will have to get an ID made, have your luggage passed through a scanner, and checked. Not sure where you are staying, inside or outside grounds. We stayed at the childrens inn. My daughter and I both have NC.
The first night we arrived at the airport, our plane was late. So we called NIH, and they sent a cab to pick us up. So make sure you bring all your contact numbers with you. Especially the person or office that sets up travel.
