re: Slow release Cortef - any news?

I participated in the Chronocort study last fall. There were 14 patients involved with this stage of the study.  The FDA (food and drug admin.) ok'd another phase of this study they are allowing only the 14 patients to participate again.  This time each patient will have the doseage that will be best for them, last time everyone was put on same dose.  The patient will be on the Chronocort for about a month and then do a 24hr blood draw.  This time each patient will be given a small dose in the am not just the 10pm dose.  Maybe the cortisol level dropped off a bit more during the day than what they expected and other hormones were slightly elevated.  Over all the drug did work well and acted more like ones own natural circadiam rhythm.  Maybe the chemical makeup of the drug needs to be refined a little. I plan on participating later this summer.  They do plan that the next phase will be open to a larger group of patients and down the road for children.
