re: To Rebecca

Rebecca,

I have CAH - so I do know about costs. I have had several crises through the years as an adult - and I have had to pay for my medications when I wasn't getting child support for my daughter and was in school fulltime and working at a job that paid almost nothing (healthroom clerk at a highschool - before I became a teacher). For me, my insurance hasn't been the greatest either (when I had insurance). I went to the hospital two weekends ago. I ate some tomatoes and threw up all day - went to the hospital for fluids and solucortef... I expect that bill will probably run me $1,500 or so for a couple hours in the ER - and that is with my insurance as a teacher.

I didn't know you could get medical assistance for someone with CAH - just because they have CAH. I'd like to know more about it actually.... I'm curious.

I never would have said anything if you hadn't brought up that your husband was having Starbucks every day and you didn't seem very happy about it.

Susan A.
