We have a 5 week old boy who had what was described as a abnormal result in his second new born screening. After a blood test showed normal electrolytes and a slightly elevated 17-HydroP level (400ng/dl) we are being sent back for additonal tests and to possiblly see an Endo. Our son is healthy and gaining weight normally. Do these results indicate CAH? We are confused... Thanks.
