hydrocortisone (cortef) dosing in infants
Jul. 30th, 2008   1:27pm

Hi: How do parents of young children dose cortef. As an example, my SWCAH daughter needs 1/2, 1/4, 1/2 tablet q day. It comes in 5 mg tablet only. They are scored so I can get 1/2 but for 1/4 I need to break the 1/2 5 mg tablet . Sometimes its not always easy to do that. Any suggestions and ideas. e.g: I am suppose to take my daughter's dose down to 1/4, 1/4, 1/2. Also the tablets dont dissolve in the water I add, they are always in a particulate form.

Thanks for any advice.

DFP
