re: Pros and cons of an adult board Aug. 9th, 2008 9:29pm
I think the benefits of how the boards are now outweigh the risk of putting distance between even one new family needing support. Would you want to have an "adult" board for each, CAH and LOCAH? Thats silly! Its not the actual topics of discussion that gets bad, its the attitude of some of the posters. There is a designated "Kids" board. Parents should monitor their kids and keep them on the kids board if they are concerned. If those wishing to discuss something which would be too "adult" or controversial for younger seekers, then go to the already prepared "Controversy" board. Sometimes conversations have a way of taking off in an inappropriate direction by someone being rude, too sensitive, etc. When that starts to happen then STOP yourself. Keep it clean and supportive!!!
