WOW, this is a tough one. I have many dear friends who home school and do not get immunizations. I appreciate and respect their choices. I gave all 3 of my children their immunizations. Thank the Lord that neither of them have autism, not that I know for sure immunizations cause autism, but there is a very good case connecting the two. With having 2 older daughters now the big dilemma is the HPV (Gardisill) injection which is said to prevent 3 types of cervical cancer and genital warts. My two daughters have made a personal choice to themselves & to the Lord to save themselves for marriage, bought themselves purity rings. If they stick to their choices their chance of getting HPV is extremely low, depending on where their husband may have been. (Those of you who think "saving themselves" is ridiculous, please don't get on me --- this is their personal choice, please respect it). I just feel that the drug companies come up with these new meds and fear market them to the public. The actual immunization in reality only protects against 3 or 4 different types of cancer out of many, many types of cervical cancers. They don't know how long protection actually lasts. They have already changed it from one injection to 3 in the short time it is out. Plus, they don't know about the long term side effects within a woman's reproductive organs, overall health.
On the other hand wouldn't you do anything just to prevent just one type of cancer? This is a hard one!
One sure way to prevent the cancer is to have just one partner for life!
Natalie
