Has anyone used the 3 month Lupron shot? Aug. 14th, 2008 3:58pm
I'm wondering if anyone out there has used the Lupron shot that lasts for 3 months.
My son is currently getting his Lupron injection once a month at a dosage of 7.5 but we are considering switching him over to the 3 month shot so he doesn't need to go through the trauma of getting the shot every month. The pharmacy told me that the doctor prescribed a new shot that is supposed to last 3 months at a dosage of 11.5. That doesn't make sense to me because you would think the dosage would be tripled. I'm also wondering how safe and/or effective it is to give this large of a dosage to a 12 year old. Please let me know if any of you have any experience with or information about this.
