my daughter didn't have any symptoms and wasn't diagnosed until she was about 10 days old--through the newborn screen. Well, I guess I shouldn't say she didn't have any symptoms. I don't know if she did or not. she is the 1st in our family to have CAH, so we had no idea that anything was wrong. She wasn't lethargic, ate good and was a happy baby at 10 days old. The only reason we found out anything was at her 1st pediatrician appointment when the dr discovered something was different with her genitals.
after that we spent 3 days in the hospital getting medications and fluids.
Good luck and by all means suggest it to your doctor!! no reason not to, and better to find out to get the proper medication if that's what it is.
