Thank you so much, you have some AWESOME points there.  That is exactly what I needed was some other peoples input on this subject.  I can talk to people around me and that I know but it is not the same as someone that has similar experiences.  If you don't mind me asking, how far along were you when you had your amnio?  To answer your question, yes if it were a girl, and I chose not to have the amnio, I would have continued on the dex, but like you said that is putting the baby through unnescessary dex treatment, and myself also.  If you would have found out you were having a boy, would you have still had the amnio done that way you could find our for sure the sex of the baby and not relied on an ultrasound?  We were leaning towards if it was a boy (from the ultrasound) not doing the amnio, and if it was a girl, doing it, but like you said ultrasounds are not always accurate.  Thank you, that gives me more to think about when making this important decision.
