Thank you all for your input, like I said it really does help hearing other stories with similarity. I have been going back and forth about this for quite some time now and Monday is sneaking up on me. I do feel as of right now I will choose to have the amnio done. If I don't, I think I will wonder what if's to much, and this way we'll know for certain whether or not to continue the dex. I do not want to danger by baby or myself be continuing medicine in which I do not need. For those of you that have had the amnio, is there anything in particular I should expect when getting this done? Also, I know my doctor will talk to me but do you know of anything I should watch for afterwards and how long(if ever) till I am in the clear after the amnio? Again, I know my doctor should go over all this with me but I am just trying to prepare myself. The newborn screening also does scare me because for some reason with my daughter her newborn screening came back normal. They did a second one just to see and it was only borderline. I did not understand why the screening would not catch this but now hearing she is not the only one with normal results, it scares me ever more so with the next one and just relying on that test.
