re: Adults with classical CAH (SWCAH)

Sue!

Oh my goodness!  Me too!  My adult endo and I found out that I had been VERY over-medicated by my pediatric endo (cortef/florinef) from birth to about 20 years of age.

I have problems with weight.  I always have.  I was always the chunky girl.  Now I'm a chunky adult.  The over-medication sucks.  I am short and stout whereas my sister who also has SWCAH had better control over her meds and she is tall and thin.  Did I mention the over-medication sucks?

Yes, I am trying my hardest with the weight and such... BUT the thing my endo is much much more concerned about is the potential for osteoporsis.  With as much meds as I had been on for as long as I had been on them, I'm scared/ my endo is much more concerned with my bones.
