Question for those doing Circadian Rhythm dosing schedule...
Sep. 18th, 2008   12:00pm

We've been doing this with my son for the last 4 months. Before that we were doing the 3x's/day but he was oversuppressed on gaining weight. So this seemed to stop the hunger pains he was having, but we just did his bloodwork, and now his androgens are high, so we should increase his meds but..

1) OF the four times a day, which do you increase? The endo wants to increase both 3am and 7am...shouldn't we just increase one time?

2) Is there some sort of 'fine tuning we can do? To go from oversuppressed to under is very frustrating. Our endo hasn't done this sort of dosing before, but because I pushed for it and we couldn't seem to stop oversuppressing him, she was willing to try. But really, this is new to her too. So any thoughts or suggestions?

3) How long before you noticed an increase in height? This is my last question, because obviously it's not as important, but our son is running in the 25% and my husband is 6'5", and his younger brother (non-CAH) runs around the 75%. We've only been doing this dosing for 4 months, but I would like to continue it if it helps his height but I want to make sure we've given it enough time.

If increasing his meds dosen't work, the endo wants to go back to 3x's/day. Should I push to keep the 4 times? It has definitely helped control his appetite and even though his numbers are up, there's no other sign that anything else is going on. Is it worth doing 4x's for his appetite?

Thanks so much for your help. I learn so much here.
