Anytime we've had medication increases, I've recalculated the percentages of the overall daily does and adjusted accordingly. If you feel it's helping him, then I would stay with the 4X daily dosing. It's shouldn't matter to the Endo, since you are giving meds every day, not her. Has she mentioned any reason that she's so keen to go back to 3X dosing, except for it being the 'standard' that she's used to?

Also, I agree with Natalie above. Is your Endo trying to get him to fit into the lab standards, or the adjusted standards for CAH patients? I think it's generally accepted that people with CAH will demonstrate a higher level of 17OHP and Androgens than those without. As long as our son stays within these adjusted guidelines with no other symptoms of undersuppression, our Endo considers him properly treated, even if his numbers aren't lab-perfect.

Regarding the time it takes to see a height increase, we saw it within four months.
