Hi all. I'm so glad that so many of you have professed that no question is a stupid question, because I'm feeling as though this one is....but here goes:
What is in the solucortef shot? Do you get a script for a particular dose? I took my daughter to hospital recently with gastro. There is a protocol written in the front of her medical records on how much hydrocortisone to give her when she is sick and vomiting (ie would usually have 2mg in the am and was given an injection for 80mg). She made a good recovery and was discharged the following day.
Also, has anyone had to give a second injection (ie the first wasn't enough)?
