I have just got out of hospital after a night of observation.
I had to tell the doctors what to do. How much to give me of Hydrocortisone IV and how many bags of saline.
That is the problem with my hospital being a university teaching hospital so a pretty regular turnover of general doctors and my Endo is only a visiting Specialist who i only see once a year.
Also alot of them don't want to listen to somebody that knows all the symptoms of their condition. As i live in an area where we have alot of Aboriginals who don't know what is happening to them so everybody gets tarred with the same brush. Now finally the doctors listen to me as the Head doctor of the Emergency department knows me quite well and has had to explain to the doctors that i do know what iam talking about and that i know heaps more than they ever will.
The doctor i had last night had no idea what CAH was and thought i had just got it and of course then thought it was Addison's which happens everytime iam in hospital.
