Return to Page 17Post reply My son's prognosis Feb. 6th, 2010 8:00pm
We have our results he is in late onset, I received a 2nd opinion they both state he is NOT in any danger it is our choice whether or not to give the meds. We did fill the prescription and we are thinking of starting him on the meds Monday. We have decided to give it a 90 day go, if my son gets sick or we do not like what the meds are doing to him we have decided to stop treatment. I know everyone may not agree but it is our son our choice. We know the risks and we clarified a lot of information we took from the site with both Dr.'s. If we do not give the meds he could be shorter than expected, he can still have children, his body makes to much male hormones at this time. I know a lot of families have suffered from this illness with their families and it is very heartbreaking, but people have to relize that everyone does not have the same case. My Dr.'s suggested that I should not use this site anymore for support because of the misinformation from some parents that frighten other parents but I love the comfort from some of the newer parents who are going through the same things I am. Again, I just believe that we all should relize that all cases are not the same and that we should not criticize because someone else chooses a different method of treating their children. This does not make you a bad parent bc you may not want to give your children medications. I think it makes you greater parents bc you look at the risks along with the illness in order to figure out the best things for your babies. Be Blessed. Kandice
